Vote No – don’t listen to the lies!

Early voting is going on now. Vote No! GFPB is full of liars. Over the last few days, on at least 3 separate occasions, a new message understating the cost of the tax by an order of magnitude has been broadcast on the radio. The tax is 1% that’s a penny for every dollar spent. The ads claim that the tax is only 1 penny for every $10 dollars.

This is a tactic directly out of the ministry of propaganda from 1984. You are not allowed to question what is said by big brother.

“The past was alterable. The past never had been altered. Oceania was at war with Eastasia. Oceania had always been at war with Eastasia.”― George Orwell, 1984

Once could be a mistake, twice is suspect, three times is an attempt to re-write the truth.

GFPB Defeated!

The final tally of votes is in, and both taxes were defeated! The 5/8 cent tax was defeated 2021 to 1904, and the 3/8 cent tax was defeated with a margin of only 20 votes at 1964 against, and 1944 for.

This was an extremely close election, and the people have spoken. We can move ahead better now that the people behind the scenes can’t pull as many strings.

Fenley Go-Kart track not approved at Planning Meeting

At the planning commission meeting Tuesday, the go-kart track planned by John Fenley at 2622 W 17th Ave was not approved. Despite complying with the written requirements, and despite overwhelming public support for the project, the city planning commission decided that my plan was insufficient, and did not approve it. The decision to not approve the track was expected, as an independent go-kart track, not sponsored by GFPB would show that the GFPB plan is ineffective in meeting it’s goals.

This is further proof that GFPB, and the city are cooperating to stifle outside development, in an effort to monopolize positive movement in Pine Bluff.
